THE LEMON: A kid wanted to sell lemonade, and we had every reason to say not right now.
WHAT THEY BUILT: A beverage brand that works farmers markets, festivals and city events — and now trains other operators.
Watch storySmash Lemonade started with a simple lemonade stand and grew through farmers markets, community events, persistence, and a willingness to keep showing up.
Now we're documenting what we've learned — and helping other people build something of their own.
Turning life's challenges, setbacks, and unexpected circumstances into opportunities to build something better.

A kid wanted to sell lemonade.
We showed up with a simple setup and learned as we went.
Markets. Events. Weather. Mistakes. Long days.
The business started becoming something bigger.
Customers started connecting with the message behind the lemonade.

Teaching other people what we had to learn the hard way.
We learned this business through markets, mistakes, permits, bad events, great events, inventory problems, weather, long nights and thousands of customer interactions.
Smash Academy packages those lessons into a repeatable operating system.
Finding the permits, health requirements and certifications needed to operate.
What equipment you actually need — and what you don't.
The Smash preparation and drink-making system.
Finding and evaluating markets, festivals and events.
Planning ingredients around realistic sales targets.
Setup, service flow, breakdown and efficiency.
Turning customers and events into content.
Understanding pricing, costs and event profitability.
Real guidance from people actively operating the business.
Every lesson in the Academy came out of a real tent at a real event. These are our own markets, festivals, setups and lines — not stock photos.

This is what people line up for. Operators learn to build every one of these to spec.

But for the right person, a simple beverage business can become a vehicle for entrepreneurship.
We don't sell easy. We teach execution.
This is the whole math of a vendor day. Change the numbers to your own event.
Examples are educational illustrations only. Actual results vary significantly by operator, event, market, weather, pricing, expenses and execution.
Designed for someone who wants to start lean.
Designed for someone who wants a larger mobile operation.
Operator opportunities are under development. Program structure, availability, qualifications, territory rights, fees, and legal terms are subject to change. Nothing here is an offer to sell a franchise, and we make no earnings or income claims.
Tent or trailer, every approved operator gets a one-year brand license at no extra cost — the right to trade as Smash Lemonade, plus the materials, marketing and direct access to Alvin that make it work.
Operate your stand under the Smash Lemonade name, logo and look for a full year, included with your path.
Signage, menus, cups and the graphics package — the same kit we use at our own events, no extra charge.
We run content for your location and push it through the main Smash channels so your events get found.
Weekly Zoom calls with Alvin plus text and voice access between them. Real questions, real answers, same week.
The license is renewed annually for a renewal fee. We'll go over the renewal terms with you in writing well before your first year is up.
This is a summary of what we offer, not an offer to sell a license or franchise. Nothing is sold and no money is accepted until you receive every disclosure document required by federal and state law and the waiting period required by law has passed. We make no representation about the income, sales or profit any operator will earn.
We are still building this too. Market days, mistakes, wins, new equipment, product testing, event prep, the decisions we get right and the ones we don't.
Meet Alvin & MoanaYou don't have to own Smash Lemonade to be part of what we're building.
No. Nothing here is an offer to sell a franchise. Operator opportunities are under development, and program structure, availability, qualifications, territory rights, fees and legal terms are subject to change.
We don't make earnings claims, and you should be sceptical of anyone in this space who does. Results depend on the operator, the events, the market, the weather, pricing, expenses and execution. What we can do is show you the math and let you run your own numbers.
No. You need to be willing to work events, talk to people all day, and keep showing up. The system is what we teach.
An event is a full day plus prep the night before and cleanup after. Most operators start with weekends and grow from there.
Smash Academy teaches you the system so you can build your own beverage business. Becoming a Smash operator means running under the Smash Lemonade brand with our equipment, training and support — that's an application and qualification process, not a purchase.
No. The Starter Guide, the lessons on this site and the Event Economics calculator are free and stay free.
This is a real business decision, so we treat it like one. Tell us about yourself and we'll have an honest conversation about whether it's a fit.
